Before You Arrive
House Rules
A few simple guidelines that help us keep the retreat in great shape and ensure every guest has a wonderful stay.
🗝️ Check-In & Check-Out
- ✓Check-in: 3:00 PM or later
- ✓Check-out: strictly 11:00 AM
- ✓Use the code from your AirBnb / VRBO / Pulse app — doors auto-relock after a set time
- ✓Early check-in or late check-out may be possible — message us to coordinate
- ✓Return your keys to the host or leave them on the anchor hook
👥 Guests & Occupancy
- ✓Up to 3 adults, 2 teens/children, and 1 toddler — additional infants always welcome
- ✓No parties or events without prior approval
- ✓Please register all guests at booking time
- ✓Day visitors must be pre-approved
🚗 Parking & Entry
- ✓Park in one of the two side-by-side spaces directly in front of the guest house
- ✓Pull all the way up to the house — please do not block the hosts’ garage
- ✓Need extra parking? Just let us know
- ✓Level 2 EV charging available on request — please bring your own cable
🚭 Smoking, Substances & Safety
- ✓No smoking or illicit drugs anywhere on the property
- ✓Do not enter the barn or pasture (unless you are staying with horses)
- ✓Follow the septic system safety signs near the sinks and toilet
- ✓Please respect the neighbors — keep noise minimal at night and stay out of their yards
🐾 Pets
- ✓Notify us and get approval before booking with a pet
- ✓Dogs welcome — no pit bulls or pit-mixes
- ✓Cats are not allowed due to past damage and lingering odors
- ✓No non-service animals without payment of the pet fee
- ✓Service animals are always welcome
🚿 Septic System
- ✓Flush only the provided toilet paper — no wipes, feminine products, or paper towels
- ✓No coffee grounds, oil/grease, large food pieces, or bleach down the drain
- ✓Septic-safe cleaning supplies are stocked under the sinks
- ✓Reach out if anything seems off — we’d rather help than have to call a plumber
🏊 Pool
- ✓Pool is shared with the hosts — use at your own risk, no lifeguard on duty
- ✓No glass or breakable items near the pool — disposable items only
- ✓No running, diving, or pool use during a storm
- ✓Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult who can swim
- ✓Children must be 7+ to use the slide; under 7 or non-swimmers must wear floaties
- ✓No pets in the pool
- ✓Music down by 11:30 PM out of respect for the neighbors
🏠 Departure
- ✓Leave used beds unmade — please don’t strip them
- ✓Gather towels and linens into a pile or hamper
- ✓Leave kitchenware in the sink or dishwasher — no need to clean
- ✓Take a final sweep for personal items: closets, under the bed, kitchen drawers, bathroom cabinets
- ✓Tie up trash bags and take them to the gray bin outside the guest house
